Mandated Training for Faculty and Supervisors

California law AB1825 mandates that all supervisors receive 2 hours of harassment prevention training at least every two years. 2009 is a training year for all faculty and supervisors. Stanford’s Sexual Harassment Policy Office has updated all training programs for 2009.

Under California's broad legal definition of "supervisor," all FACULTY MEMBERS qualify as supervisors, as well as all STAFF MEMBERS who supervise other employees, even if they supervise student and temp workers.

The university cannot exempt any supervisors - faculty or staff - from this legal obligation.
